Ashby–de–la–Zouch

... is just one place where KP Snacks manufactures snack foods. Its head office is in Slough; other locations include Hellaby (Rotherham), Leominster (Herefordshire) and Pontefract.

KP Crisps is not actually a brand. KP Snacks has at least 17 brands, including Hula Hoops, KP nuts (of course), Butterkist (popcorn) and Space Raiders. I reckon four of them are marketed as crisps: McCoy's, Tyrrell's, Brannigan's and Frisps.

Which of them are made in Ashby–de–la–Zouch, I couldn't say.

KP crisps should obviously not be confused with Walker's, which are made in Beaumont Leys, a northern suburb of Leicester. Ashby is 12 or 13 miles north–west of Leicester; it's four miles from Swadlincote, which is in Derbyshire.

Ashby–de–la–Zouch's other modern claim to fame is that it's Adrian Mole's home town.
